The Iowa GOP’s Straw Poll, a fund-raising event in which Republican Presidential candidates sell tickets and host hospitality tents, will be held August 11, 2007 in Ames. In 1999, 600 journalists from more than 250 news organizations reported from the Straw Poll. The event is often an indicator of candidate popularity in Iowa. Details will likely be available as the event gets closer on the Iowa GOP website.

I can’t wait to see how many thousands of Ron Paul supporters show up and how the establishment will try to continue to deny his ascendancy… this should be interesting
