New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Democratic candidate for President, will host “Cookies and Conversation,” a meet-the-candidate opportunity on Friday, June 22 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Aliber Hall on the Drake University campus. Doors open at 11 a.m. (Aliber Hall is west of the Olmsted Center parking lot at 29th & University.) The event is free to attend, however an RSVP is required by calling 515.271.3747 or by emailing your name and number of seats required to Iowacaucuses@drake.edu. Richardson served seven terms in the U.S. Congress, as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and as U.S. Secretary of Energy before being elected Governor of New Mexico in 2006. He will answer questions from the audience regarding his stance on issues facing the nation and other presidential candidates. He will invite questions from the media around 12:15 p.m.
Chris Dorsey, the IowaPolitics.com bureau chief, will moderate the discussion.
