The Iowa Brown Black Forum will be held for Democratic candidates on Saturday, December 1 from 7-9 p.m. at North High School, 501 Holcomb Ave. in Des Moines. All eight candidates have committed to participating in the event.
Moderators are Michele Norris, host of National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered,” and Ray Suarez, senior correspondent for PBS’s “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.”
The Iowa Brown & Black Presidential Forum is the nation’s only presidential forum in which all candidates have an opportunity to answer essential concerns of African-Americans and Latinos.
HDNet, the high-definition television network, announced that it will present a live, national broadcast of the event. Members of the media must be pre-credentialed to attend, and should see the Press Guidelines posted on the Forum’s website.
